This Privacy Policy describes how KitHub ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from kithub.shop.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some cookies. Additionally, as you browse the site we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, what websites or search terms referred you to our site, and information about how you interact with the site.
We also use a first-party session identifier, a random code stored in your browser, to understand how visitors use the site and where they came from. It lets us see which pages and products are viewed, what is added to or removed from a basket, how far through checkout a visit gets, and how a visit began (for example the referring website, a campaign link, or whether the site was opened inside the Instagram, Facebook or TikTok app). If you place an order, the identifier is linked to that order so we can see which visit it came from. We use it for internal analysis only. It does not contain your name, email address or payment details, and this session data is deleted automatically after 90 days.
When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (handled securely by Worldpay, we do not store card details), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "Order Information".
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use the Order Information we collect generally to:
- Fulfil any orders placed through the site (including processing payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing invoices and/or order confirmations)
- Communicate with you
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud
- Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services, where you have opted in
We use the Device Information to help us screen for potential risk and fraud, and more generally to improve and optimise our site.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above:
- Worldpay: we use Worldpay to process payments securely. You can read their privacy policy at business.worldpay.com/privacy
- Supabase: we use Supabase to store order and customer data securely. Data is stored in accordance with EU data protection standards
- Vercel: our site is hosted and served via Vercel's infrastructure. You can read their privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Facebook and Instagram) and the Google Ads tag to measure how our advertising performs and to show our adverts to people who may be interested in them. These services use cookies and similar technologies and receive information about your visit, such as the pages and products you view, items you add to a basket, and purchases, together with technical details such as your IP address and browser. When you complete a purchase, our server also sends Meta the order details along with your email address and phone number in hashed (one-way scrambled) form so that purchases can be matched to adverts. We also send Meta the browser identifiers it assigns to your visit (Meta cookie IDs), your IP address and browser user agent, captured at checkout, which are held for up to 90 days alongside the order and then deleted. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to measure traffic and site performance.
You can opt out. You can block or delete cookies in your browser cookie settings. You can turn off personalised ads in Meta Ad Preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences) and in your Instagram and Facebook settings, and in Google Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at youronlinechoices.com (UK and EU) or optout.aboutads.info (US). Blocking these services will not stop you using the site or placing an order.
DO NOT TRACK
Our first-party session tracking, described above, is switched off when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Third-party services used on the site, such as payment processing and measurement tools, handle these signals under their own policies.
YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to countries where data protection laws may differ.
DATA RETENTION
When you place an order through the site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
MINORS
The site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16.
CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
